"Only potential and upside". The guy has played almost 50 playoff games already and won a title. And was one of their better players against SAS.
Has excellent defensive impact and translates it to the postseason every year. And is getting better on the ball, while keeping turnovers very low.
How am I the guy who trashes Kuminga? :) When there was talk last summer about him potentially going to the Wizards, I wanted that move. And when the FO traded for Whitmore, I was saying I'd rather have Kuminga.
When Minny signed him, I liked the deal for them, both because he fits the starting 5 and adds physicality, which is what they like, and because it moves Dosunmu to the bench, and Ayo performs best as a 6th man. Like Pritchard in Boston.

You argue with too many people, Al, so you don't remember who it was you were disputing with and about what.
But I will watch Minnty and will say things as I see them. I didn't love Kuminga's preseason. To be fair, they used him in a corner a lot, rarely on-ball, like in stretches in San Francisco when he had down games and wasn't involved.
He plays best from the wing with some secondary ball-handling duties, and actually does well as a screener in pick&rolls. But that's not how Finch has used him so far.
One thing I said about him is that he doesn't have great size. He's not undersized for a SF, but he's not this big wing-forward who can guard real PFs and get a double-double every other game as some people believe. He's 6'6 barefoot, maybe half an inch taller. I watched the Indy-Minny game, and he gave up about 2 inches to Siakam and couldn't guard him in the post.
