With the US increasingly moving away from its "ambiguous" commitment to Taiwan security, it's now Japan's turn to beg the US to further support her in its increasingly delusional adversarial relationship with China. Now that Takaichi has openly declared it will intervene militarily in a Taiwan incident and has begun deployed offensive missiles on islands very close to Taiwan and mainland China, China will focus more and more on a potential military operation on Japan. Going forward, I'm afraid Japan is going to beg US more for defending Japan rather than intervene in a Taiwan contingency.
